Emily Ciccone, MD, MHS
Assistant Professor of Medicine
About
My research focuses on the use of diagnostic testing to improve the evaluation and management of infectious diseases in resource-constrained settings, particularly as it relates to antimicrobial stewardship, antibiotic resistance, and pediatric respiratory illness. Clinically, my areas of interest include general infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, and the care of individuals living with HIV. From an education standpoint, I am a member of the UNC Global Health Advisory Board, which leads the design and implementation of the Global Health Pathway for IM, Peds, and Med/Peds residents.
