About
I grew up in Buffalo, New York, and worked as a science journalist at Smithsonian Magazine and Vox.com before entering medical school at Boston University. I completed internal medicine residency at UNC and stayed for fellowship due to the incredible teaching faculty and collegial, supportive ID community. I am especially interested in antimicrobial stewardship and outpatient antimicrobial management, and is currently participating in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Advanced Fellowship Track. Outside of work, I love riding my bike, trail running, and hanging with my dog Herschel.
Fellowship Projects: Longitudinal outcomes of implementation of a Handshake Stewardship Initiative. Retrospective cohort (and implantation research) on a novel patient care pathway that allows surgical patients with subacute infections to be treated with IV antibiotics without admission. Completing the Advanced Antimicrobial Stewardship Pathway in fellowship year 2.
Mentor: Nick Mavrogioros.
