First Year Fellow
About
I grew up in Indianapolis, IN and went to college at DePauw University, a small liberal arts school in Indiana. Following that, I completed medical school and my Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Indiana University. I chose UNC ID for fellowship because of their strong commitment to caring for patients living with HIV and serving vulnerable populations. On interview day, I was impressed by the warm, welcoming, and accomplished faculty who demonstrated a genuine investment in the success and development of their fellows. Lastly, I was excited to live in a beautiful (yet relatively affordable) part of the country where I could spend plenty of time outdoors. I am most interested in focusing on HIV care (with particular interests in caring for adolescents living with HIV or those transitioning from pediatric to adult care), the intersection between substance use disorders and infectious diseases, STIs, and medical education during fellowship. Outside of work, I love to run, read, and try new restaurants.
