About

I grew up in Florence, SC and came to Duke in Durham, NC for college, medical school, and residency in internal medicine. I chose UNC for a so many reasons – the people here are so kind and approachable and that really came across on interview day. It was also clear that program leadership was eager to help fellows design and individualize their own paths during fellowship and were supportive and encouraging of a wide range of career and research trajectories. I am interested in specializing in HIV research during fellowship and also wanted to come to UNC for the diversity of research here in this subject. I enjoy walking and hiking at state parks around NC, reading, and spending time with my cat.
