About
I’m originally from West Virginia, where I grew up in the least populated county in the state. I began my career as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit, working in various locations throughout West Virginia. I went on to complete medical school and internal medicine residency at West Virginia University. I chose UNC for my infectious diseases fellowship because of its strong emphasis on fellow education and the breadth of clinical and academic opportunities available, including HIV care, public health, and global health. With one of the top schools of public health in the country, UNC also offers an ideal environment for me to pursue my Master of Public Health. In my free time, I enjoy reading science fiction novels, some gaming, attending the orchestra, and spending time with my cat.
