About

After previously doing research in bat immunology, I now take care of a diverse variety of patients with kidney problems and am energized by patient-centered healthcare like home dialysis. I see patients in clinic and in the hospital, supervise residents and fellows, and also work in outpatient and home dialysis. I am passionate about teaching—both patients and medical trainees—and my philosophy is to partner with patients and support them in all phases. I really think there is something special about UNC.
