Daniella grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and went to undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh (Hail to Pitt!). She attended medical school at the University of Michigan then made her way to UNC for Family Medicine Residency. After an amazing residency experience that included time getting to know the Palliative Care team at UNC, she wanted to stay on for fellowship to continue serving the people of North Carolina and working with the incredible, supportive community at UNC.
Within medicine, Daniella has a passion for pursuing equitable care for all patients both in primary care and in palliative medicine and a research interest in better understanding the barriers to equitable care. Outside of medicine she enjoys hikes, reading, building Lego, exploring the Triangle area and spending time with her puppy Darcy.
