About

Dr. Jones is an APP intensivist who serves as the APP supervisor in the Medicine ICU and co-director of the Critical Care APP Support program. Her clinical experience includes COVID care, neuro-critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization lab. She also serves as the DOM Diversity Champion for the Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Division. She has written several publications in peer review journals and presents annually at national conferences of various professional organizations. Dr Jones is a member of the National Black Nurses Association, North Carolina Nurses Association, Carolina Black Caucus and serves as faculty for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She is also recognized as a Fellow in AANP and SCCM’s American College of Critical Care Medicine. Dr Jones’ professional contributions led to the development of AANP’s inaugural Diversity and Inclusion committee on which she was appointed as the first chair and co-drafted the diversity commitment statement.
