The UNC Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is committed to advancing the Division’s mission in health care, research, practitioner training, and patient education. The  Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine Excellence Fund allows the division chief, Shannon Carson, MD, to make timely decisions about where resources are needed the most.

Fellowship Training

The Fellows Fundhelps us provide a comprehensive Fellowship Program, allowing fellows to pursue research and leadership opportunities at national conferences and seminars; supporting visiting lecturers from across the country; and funding educational materials and subscriptions.

Cystic Fibrosis & Pulmonary Disease Research

The Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Disease Research Fund supports clinical and basic research endeavors within the Division. Gifts from this fund are used to support clinical trial infrastructure, core equipment, and other research expenses not supported by other sources of funding.
