Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (including dermatomyositis, anti-synthetase syndrome, immune mediated necrotizing myositis, overlap myositis, cancer associated myositis), scleroderma, mixed connective tissue disease, undifferentiated connective tissue disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, polymyalgia rheumatica and other rheumatic diseases.
About
Dr. Allenzara is a board-certified internist and rheumatologist. Her research focus is a group of rare autoimmune diseases: idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM). Her goal is to improve patient outcomes through assessing comorbidities such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. She aims to investigate how comorbidities develop alongside screening strategies and modifiable factors which can be targeted to improve outcomes. She has a strong commitment to medical education and equity in medical care. Clinically, she values the longitudinal relationships and shared decision making with patients
