Objectives:

  1. To explain the sex differences that exist with diseases processes.
  2. To explain the sex disparity that exists in the development and evaluation of drugs, devices, and medical therapies.
  3. To discuss the sex disparity that exists in biomedical and clinical research in surgery and other disciplines.
  4. To present solutions that can improve sex inclusion in biomedical and clinical research
