Congratulations to Emma R. Hinkle, a graduate student in Dr. Giudice’s Lab, for recently receiving a Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA individual predoctoral fellowship (Parent F31) from NIH’s Research Training and Career Development.
The fellowship provides ongoing stipend support for Emma’s project, which is investigating the interplay between alternative splicing and mechanotransduction in skeletal muscle cells with the hope of understanding how muscular diseases are both molecular and mechanical in origin.
