Dickson Distinguished Professor of Medicine; Professor, Department of Genetics, UNC-Chapel Hill; Urologic Oncology Program; Cancer Genetics, Clinical Research, for the receipt of R01 grant, entitled “Defining the role of mitochondrial injury in MEK inhibitor cardiotoxicity”, from the NIH.
The proposal will define the mechanisms underlying the cardiomyopathy that can develop in patients who receive MEK inhibitors, such as trametinib, for the treatment of cancer.
