Congratulations to the lab of Ke Cheng, Ph.D., Randall B. Terry, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Regenerative Medicine, Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences, NC State University and UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering; Adjunct Professor, UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, for publishing paper, titled “Platelet membrane and stem cell exosome hybrids enhance cellular uptake and targeting to heart injury” in the journal NanoToday.
The work from Dr. Ke Cheng’s lab was led by postdoctoral scientist, Shiqi Hu, and introduces a new approach to modify therapeutic exosomes with platelet membrane to make them disease targetable.
