Vironomics Core
As a member of the UNC Vironomics Core and a graduate student in
M&I, my primary role involves conducting sequencing and qRT-PCR viral
load work for KSHV, EBV, and SARS-CoV-2. I am responsible for
processing large numbers of samples in various projects throughout the
year. This work requires organized and accurate record-keeping and I
take great care to maintain detailed documentation of these
experiments and results. At the moment, I am primarily focused on
improving our established in-lab assays as well as tracking the spread
and development of SARS-CoV-2 variants through Coronavirus Variant
Sequencing (CORVASEQ).
