Congratulations to Monika Schneider! Monica (from Dr. Jenny Ting’s lab) was chosen from a large pool of UNC graduate student applicants from across all aspects of research to receive a Graduate Education Advancement Board (GEAB) Impact Award. Monika’s project “Understanding Sepsis” was deemed to have “exceptional quality and impact” for North Carolina. Monika will be recognized on April 6, 2011 at the Carolina Club during the Graduate Student Recognition Celebration. She will be presenting her research at a poster session prior to the reception, where she will receive her $500.00 monetary award.
