The Department of Psychiatry and the Neuroscience Center are pleased to announce that Dr. Hiroyuki Kato, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Jeffry Isaacson’s laboratory at The University of California, San Diego will be joining the faculty at UNC in early 2017. Dr. Kato’s new research laboratory will use two-photon microscopy to understand the neural encoding of complex auditory stimuli. His research will have direct relevance to neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia as well as neural developmental disorders such as autism.
