Dr. Todd Cohen from UPenn will join the faculty of the Neuroscience Center and the Department of Neurology in January 2014
Dr. Todd Cohen, currently a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Virginia Lee’s lab at University of Pennsylvania, will join the faculty of the Neuroscience Center and the Department of Neurology in January, 2014. His research focus is on the pathogenic mechanisms that underlie protein aggregation diseases, with particular emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. A major aim of the Cohen lab will be to understand the post-translational modifications (PTMs) that regulate both normal protein function as well as abnormal misfolding that occurs in the diseased state.
