Dr. Christine Chu, MD, MSCI, has been awarded the 2024-25 James W. Woods Junior Faculty Award and will be presenting at the 2024-2025 seminar as part of UNC Research Week.
Dr. Chu is being recognized for her study, “Recurrent UTI and Postmenopause: A Translational Approach to Treatment and Prevention,” which describes a home-based self-sampling study to monitor microbiome changes in postmenopausal women.
This award signifies her exemplary work in research and a promising career ahead in women’s health. Additionally, this award places her among some of the most outstanding clinical faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Medical School.
