Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?

I chose Obstetrics & Gynecology because there is absolutely no other specialty like it. The variety of practices you will be involved in on a daily basis is the greatest draw to the field. In residency, I would love going from a delivery to the OR to the ED and back for a c-section. I chose to specialize in Complex Family Planning because I want to add the skills involved to bring to areas without care, advocate stronger for my patients, and learn to teach the next generation of physicians.

Why UNC?

I chose UNC because of their strong history of Complex Family Planning training. Many leaders in the CFP field have trained at UNC and I plan to uphold the expectation. Right now, family planning is more important than ever in North Carolina, and I hope to influence change from the office, the operating room, and the community.
