Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?

In obstetrics and gynecology you have the incredible privilege to be a part of the most intimate moments in your patient’s life. I chose obstetrics and gynecology and then urogynecology to be a surgeon for my patients in those intimate moments and in urogynecology specifically to educate and then partner with my patients to help them achieve significant quality of life improvements.

Why UNC?

At UNC, I found professional – and personal! – mentors that teach me to balance patient care, academic productivity and personal wellness. The culture is warm and supportive of learning. Moreover UNC has great resources to support academic projects and to learn the skills needed to continue that productivity in an academic career.
