WHY OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY?

Obstetrics & Gynecology blends community health with surgical solutions in a way that spoke to me as a former community health worker. I love the fast paced nature of labor & delivery, the opportunities to discuss health behaviors at a pivotal time in a patient’s life, and of course, the operating room.

WHY UNC?

From the very beginning of my interview, I could tell that UNC was a place where community and kindness were valued. Everyone I spoke with was so warm and welcoming. UNC is a top academic institution with great training while also being full of some of the kindest and humblest people that I’ve met.
