Personal Biography:

Jaci Schmid is a native of North Carolina who has lived in the Triangle area since the early 1990s. After attending UNC Chapel Hill, she worked in contracts negotiation and procurement for over a decade. She began the path to midwifery after a wonderful pregnancy and birth experience with the midwives at the birth center in Chapel Hill. After attending nursing school, she graduated with an ADN from Alamance Community College and worked as a nurse at UNC from 2012 to 2018. Jaci received a BSN from Western Carolina University in 2013. She achieved her goal of becoming a midwife after attending the program at East Carolina University, graduating in 2017. She has provided midwifery care in the hospital and community settings. Jaci is honored to care for people throughout their lives, and especially loves providing holistic care for pregnancy. When she is at home, she enjoys reading, knitting, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
