Why Obstetrics and Gynecology?
I love the breadth and depth of OB/Gyn, and ultimately found that one field embodies all of my clinical and research interests — Gynecologic Oncology. Being someone’s cancer doctor is such a unique and special role, quite unlike any other. Taking comprehensive care of medically complex, critically ill cancer patients excites me intellectually and fulfills me as a clinician. I feel incredibly satisfied using my skills as a surgeon to help patients in such an impactful way.
Why UNC?
I have loved UNC ever since I was applying for OB/Gyn residency. What stood out to me most then, and continues to stand out is the collaborative and supportive environment. I greatly appreciate all the wonderful teachers and mentors I have within the OB/Gyn department and outside. I am also so grateful to be able to provide care to such a diverse range of patients from all over North Carolina. I truly feel lucky to train here.
