Personal Biography:
I am a proud native of Luanda, Angola, in southern Africa. Since leaving my native country as I child, I have lived in Braga, Portugal; southern California; south Florida,; and then Columbus, Ohio. In 2020, I was excited to join the UNC Division of Global Women’s Health and have been based in Chapel Hill with my partner and kids since then. My purpose as an epidemiologist is to contribute meaningfully to better understanding of outcomes and research methods in population health, especially women and children.
