Eva is a Durham, NC native who loves rock climbing, gardening, running, and spending time with her family. She comes to palliative care from nephrology fellowship and plans to pursue a career in palliative nephrology.
She discovered palliative care during a medical school rotation on an oncology service, where she realized the best part of patient care was talking to patients about what was most important to them. She chose UNC for the phenomenal faculty, supportive and collegial culture, and individualized support of her career interests.
