Heather Frank

I am a UNC Med-Peds residency graduate turned Med-Peds palliative care fellow. As a Colorado native, I never expected to find my home in North Carolina. However, after almost ten years in the Triangle area, I can genuinely say I love it here. I chose UNC for my palliative care fellowship because, after training at UNC for residency, I couldn’t imagine a more supportive and collaborative group of mentors to continue my training with. I also appreciate the program leadership’s desire to let each fellow “build their own adventure” and create a unique training experience tailored to their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, and trying new restaurants—all of which are plentiful in the Triangle area.
