Residency: Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Case Western Reserve/MetroHealth Medical Center

I grew up in Pennsylvania but started calling North Carolina home after moving to the triangle area for medical school at Campbell University. After medical school I (not so briefly) left to complete my Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency and additional chief year in Cleveland, OH at the city’s safety net hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center.

During residency I quickly developed my passion for caring for patients and families with advanced illnesses and as well as for children with complex medical conditions. Additionally, I was continuously drawn to caring for patients at the end of life and felt that Palliative Care was the field of medicine that could provide the most effective relief of suffering to not only patients but also their families. I recognize the tremendous honor that comes with walking with patients through the most vulnerable times in their life and look forward to using my Medicine and Pediatrics training to reach patients of all backgrounds and ages.

My husband, Paul and I as well as our two dogs (and baby on the way) are tremendously excited to be returning to the Tarheel State and continuing our life in North Carolina! In our free time we are excited to explore the many new restaurants and breweries that have popped up during our time away, as well as renovating our (new to us) old and well-loved North Carolina farmhouse!
