I am honored to be the Associate Program Director of UNC’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program and to work alongside our fellows, Dr. Tilly, and our coordinator Angela. I am a clinician-educator and find great fulfillment in teaching/mentoring fellows so that they can grow into HPM leaders. Outside of medicine, I am married to Nicole Zimmerman, a physical therapist at UNC. We have two daughters- Emma (8) and Chloe (6). I enjoy coaching Emma’s soccer team (Go Pumas!), exploring local restaurants/breweries, camping, running, and reading as much as possible.
