Abigail grew up in Illinois and attended undergrad at Illinois Tech where she majored in Chemistry. After a year as a scribe, she matriculated to medical school where she was honored with selection to AOA. She conducted malaria research in rural Uganda and received a grant to study tick borne illness here in NC for the last several years. She is a self-described national park fanatic and even served as a guide at the Lassen Volcanic National Park. Abigail also enjoys rock climbing, Irish and Ugandan dance, choreography, and hiking.
