Dr. Hagood is an international expert on rare childhood lung diseases with a specialty in chILD. He directs the UNC Program for Rare and Interstitial Lung Disease and and has worked extensively with the ChILD Foundationconducting research and developing educational materials for families. He has been a consultant on national recommendations from the NHLBI regarding the future of research in pediatric respiratory disease and in developing official guidelines of clinical practice in the evaluation and treatment of chILD.
