About
Cecile Arias-Saleh is an early career professional who graduated with her BS in Biology with a concentration in Integrative Physiology and Neurobiology in 2020. Even though her coursework was heavily focused on the sciences, her interests have always leaned more interdisciplinary. She strongly believes that looking at a problem from one perspective is inherently limiting in understanding the issue. During her undergraduate studies, Cecile’s minor in Health, Medicine, and Human Values compelled her to pursue a Master’s degree in Medicine, Health, and Society to learn more about how people’s place in society and the world can shape their health outcomes, medical treatment, and lived experience in various aspects of the medical field. After earning her degrees, Cecile joined the MPS Research team in 2021 as a clinical research specialist on the team. As her knowledge and technical skills grew, she has advanced on the team to oversee the coordination of all the ongoing MPS clinical trials and has been working hard to standardize research practices across the team to allow for more growth and continuity of work across trials. Cecile lives in Raleigh with her husband and three cats, and when she is not working enjoys spending time outdoors or reading a good book.
