The Muenzer MPS Research & Treatment Center provides specialized consultation services for individuals and families affected by mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS). Our multidisciplinary team partners with patients, families, local healthcare providers, and specialists to deliver expert guidance, personalized recommendations, and coordinated care throughout every stage of life.

Urgent Appointments

Please contact the Muenzer MPS Research & Treatment Center immediately if you are seeking an urgent appointment for:

  • Children younger than six months of age.
  • A newly diagnosed patient.
  • An abnormal newborn screening result.
  • A pregnant mother with concerns related to MPS.

The Muenzer MPS Research & Treatment Center’s Clinical Consultation Program is 100% funded through charitable donations to the Center. Philanthropic support makes it possible for our team to provide specialized MPS consultations, expert guidance, education, and coordinated care to individuals, families, and healthcare providers.

Our center offers the following specialized services through clinical consultations:

  • Evaluation and Management – Comprehensive evaluations and individualized management plans for individuals living with MPS.
  • Genetic Counseling – Helping individuals and families better understand their diagnosis, inheritance, family planning options, and the genetic and psychosocial implications of MPS.
  • Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT) & Infusion Therapy – Specialized infusion services designed to help slow disease progression. The Muenzer MPS Center features pediatric-friendly infusion rooms staffed by experienced nurses and providers trained in the care of individuals with MPS.
  • Developmental & Neurocognitive Testing – Assessments to monitor cognitive, motor, behavioral, and developmental milestones throughout childhood and adulthood, when clinically appropriate.
  • Clinical Trial Consultations – Learn about current investigational therapies and opportunities to participate in clinical research.View Current MPS Clinical Trials
  • Second Opinion Consultations – Expert review of diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and long-term disease management.
  • Care Coordination – Collaboration with local physicians and specialists to help ensure continuity of care close to home.
