All About Dr. Brinson!

Nigel “Biola” Brinson is originally from Peachtree City, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia (UGA) for his undergraduate education. There, he worked with non-profit organizations that were local, Shop With a Bulldawg, and abroad, Seeds of Knowledge. He also worked as an undergraduate student tour guide for the UGA Visitor’s Center and a student manager for the Ramsey Student Center in the Strength & Conditioning Department. After college, he took a “literal” gap year and worked at GAP Inc. for a year. During this time, he also prepared for a transition to medical school. He then attended the University of North Carolina School of Medicine where he developed an interest in sports medicine and cancer rehabilitation. He is dedicated to formal/informal mentorship, growing diversity in medicine, giving back to his surrounding community via service and volunteering with adaptive sports organizations. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alison, cooking/baking, playing tennis/basketball, watching the University of Georgia football team win National Championships and cheering on the best NFL team – the Jacksonville Jaguars.
