All about Dr. Ling!

Jennifer “Jen” Ling is originally from Cranbury, NJ, and went to Duke University, where she majored in evolutionary anthropology and competed as a Division I saber fencer, team captain, and ACC women’s individual saber champion in 2016. After college, Jen stuck around Durham to work at the Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke as a clinic navigator before going to the “other blue” to attend UNC School of Medicine. At UNC, she’s become passionate about caring for older adults, improving amputee care, and diving into research as a Howard Holderness Scholar. She’s particularly interested in medical education, amputee care, geriatric care, musculoskeletal medicine, and everything related to rehabilitation. Outside of the hospital, Jen can be found doing mat Pilates, whipping up delicious treats in her kitchen, crushing opponents on the pickleball court, or scouting the Triangle area for the best ice cream spots. She and her fiancé, an incoming UNC dermatology resident, are having a tough time trying to figure out whether to cheer for Duke or UNC basketball but overall super excited to be a part of the UNC family.
