All about Dr. Saunders!
Spencer is originally from Cary, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he played Division I men’s soccer while earning a degree in Biology. After graduation, he spent a couple of years working between a laboratory performing COVID testing and in an orthopedic clinic as a medical assistant before beginning medical school at the University of North Carolina.
His professional interests include sports medicine, diversity in medicine, and preventative and comprehensive care. Outside of medicine, Spencer enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, playing soccer, cooking and fermenting foods, and watching movies.
