Postdoctoral Fellowship Start Date: 2023
Dr. Mary Jackson, OTR/L, OTD completed her Occupational Therapy Doctorate at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and has extensive experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, and Parkinson’s Disease. More recently, she collaborated with physical therapists and neuropsychologists to develop an evidence-based, interdisciplinary treatment guide for the outpatient treatment of long-COVID, dysautonomia, and other fatigue syndromes.
She is now a postdoctoral research fellow within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s Program on Integrative Medicine and will maintain her occupational therapy license.
Her research interests include the role mind-body practices in the treatment and management of long-COVID and concussion. She is also interested in the integration of mind-body practices into clinical settings to improve the wellbeing of patients, caregivers, and clinical staff.
