About

Dr. Anne Ruminjo, MD MPH, is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill who specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders in women across different life stages—including pregnancy, the postpartum period, PMDD, and perimenopause. Board certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, she has over 15 years of experience in women’s mental health. At UNC, she sees patients in outpatient clinics and the Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. She also works statewide through the NC Maternal Mental Health MATTERS program to support other physicians and health care providers, directs the Women’s Mental Health Training program for psychiatry residents, and has contributed to scholarly work on reproductive psychiatry.
