About

Chloe Fefferman is an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator on the Resilience through Interventions for Successful Early Outcomes (RISE) Study and on the YBH Study at the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program (CHAAMP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Family & Child Sciences.

Before joining CHAAMP, Chloe worked as an undergraduate Research Assistant in two labs at Florida State University, where she conducted research on suicide and self-injurious thoughts and behaviors under Dr. Thomas Joiner, and on dyslexia and reading development in the Steacy Compton Lab. She also worked as a Research Intern at the Gaab Lab at Harvard University, where she studied neurocognitive and genetic links between reading and math difficulties.

Chloe’s research interests center on suicide prevention, youth mental health, and early intervention approaches aimed at promoting emotional resilience and improving overall psychological well-being. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with the goal of integrating research and clinical work in her future private practice.

In her free time, she enjoys painting, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
