About

Dr. Janos is a child clinical psychologist and clinical assistant professor at UNC School of Medicine. Her primary specialty is providing evidence-based care for youth and young adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and suicidal ideation and behavior. She also has extensive experience with trauma-focused, behavioral, and parenting interventions, and offers neuropsychological and diagnostic assessment services. Dr. Janos is passionate about working with individuals with diverse identities and bridging the gap between inpatient and outpatient care. She is involved in programming on the child and adolescent inpatient units to engage providers in trauma-focused care and is committed to multidisciplinary approaches to mental health treatment.
 
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Janos is involved with several research projects via the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Program (CHAAMP). She serves as a study clinician on a project that provides evidence-based care to underserved families and provides supervision and risk management for a study investigating children’s understanding of suicide in high-risk populations.
