About
Dr. Jodie Lisenbee Turay is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor who works with both the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders and UNC Fertility. She specializes in infertility, pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period, and fetal/infant loss.
Dr. Turay treats a wide range of clinical concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma disorders, perinatal grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and the transition to parenthood. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
Dr. Turay is deeply committed to providing affirming, inclusive care to clients from diverse sociocultural backgrounds and family structures. Her work is guided by a passion for reproductive empowerment, health equity, and compassionate, client-centered care.
