About
Kera Hampton is an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator on the Social Motivation Study (SMS) at the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program (CHAAMP).
Kera graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2023. After graduation, Kera served as a clinical coordinator at the University of Rochester’s Mt Hope Family Center, where she delivered interventions to youth exposed to trauma and preteens experiencing depression and suicidal thoughts.
Prior to starting at CHAAMP in 2025, Kera did an NIH-PREP research fellowship at the Ohio State University where she studied how emotion regulation strategies are associated with psychopathology among Black Americans. Kera plans to pursue a Clinical Psychology PhD with the goal of adapting clinical interventions to be both accessible and effective for Black youth.
Outside of her time at CHAAMP, Kera enjoys biking, traveling, and spending time with her cat.
