About

Dr. Bucher is a Research Associate Professor at the Institute for Trauma Recovery. Her research focuses on improving the understanding, identification, and treatment of psychopathology. She is specifically interested in advancing more refined and clinically informative approaches to characterizing psychological symptoms and longitudinal trajectories in order to inform diagnosis, prevention, and intervention efforts. More recently, her work within the Institute for Trauma Recovery has centered on characterizing the psychological and biological responses that occur immediately following trauma exposure, as well as the longer-term sequelae that can emerge over time. She is interested in identifying early symptom trajectories, improving the phenotyping of post-traumatic psychopathology, and developing scalable interventions to prevent chronic adverse outcomes.
