About
Patrick Butler is a faculty social worker at the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders working primarily with adolescents and young adults. From 2013-2023, he was the Director of Mental Health Services in Adolescent Medicine at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Prior to moving to Oklahoma to initiate their disordered eating program, he held a similar position in Adolescent Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. His research and presentations involve a variety of adolescent and young adult health concerns including disordered eating and adolescent confidential care. He has presented as a content expert for the National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (NCEED) and has supervised and trained health and mental health professionals in interdisciplinary care.
