July 16, 2012 — The Department of Surgery welcomes Joellen Buckio, MHA, in her role as the Associate Chair for Administration, effective July 16, 2012.
Jo joins us after having spent twelve years with UNC Physicians and Associates, where she most recently served as the Director of Physician Revenue Cycle. In this capacity, she was responsible for the billing, collection and reimbursement operations for Surgery and several other departments.
Her insight into Surgery is enhanced by her previous positions in the Department, both as a Division Manager and Business Officer.
She recently completed her Master of Health Administration at Pfeiffer University.
