November 8, 2012 — On Oct. 23 – 24, the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center underwent a site review for re-verification as a Center of Excellence.
The reviewers were very impressed with the work of the Burn Center, and said that it was a “wonderful visit” and that UNC was “likely the best Burn Center in the nation.”
The American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons conduct the review, which occurs every three years.
