Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident
Class of 2031
Areas of Interest
Congenital cardiac surgery, and valvular surgery
About
Why I chose CT: After being diagnosed with SVT in high school, I had the opportunity to shadow the pediatric electrophysiologists who treated me. I walked into medical school with an interest in cardiology but realized I wanted to do more with my hands. I found surgery through the ACOS and started conducting research with a congenital cardiac surgeon, ultimately cementing this passion for CT surgery. I not only enjoy the complexity of each case, but also understanding cardiac physiology to manage our critically ill patients. To me, it’s the best of both worlds!
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my dog Radar, renovating my home, and working on my Ford Mustang and Bronco.
Fun fact about myself: In college, I played clarinet in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band at Texas A&M University.
