April 1, 2011 — Dr. Sam Jones gave the spring lecture at the induction ceremony of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, where trauma surgeon, Dr. Anthony Charles, was an inductee.

Dr. Sam Jones, assistant director of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center, lectured on “Pearls for Success, Happiness, and Survival for Physicians and Patients” at the Spring 2011 Alpha Omega Alpha induction ceremony on April 1. Alpha Omega Alpha is the national medical honors society, founded in 1902, emphasizing scholarship, leadership, professionalism, and service in the medical community.

Each year, about 3,000 medical professionals are elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. This spring, Assistant Professor of Trauma Surgery, Dr. Anthony Charles, was one of two faculty inductees honored at the ceremony.
