November 1, 2012 — Dr. John van Aalst is featured in the 2012 Carolina Development Annual Report for his work with the Palestine Cleft Society.
Dr. John van Aalst, Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, is featured in the 2012 Carolina Development Annual Report for his work treating Palestinian children with cleft palates. His collaboration with the Palestinian Cleft Society (PCS) began in 2008. Since then, Dr. van Aalst has made 18 trips to the West Bank region, during which he and his colleagues have performed almost one thousand surgeries.
