On June 23, 2014, the KCH Burn Unit in Malawi had its Burn Unit Dedication. Dr. Bruce Cairns and Dr. Anthony Charles were in attendance, as well as UNC Surgery’s Development Officer Mary Margaret Carroll and several representatives from Johnson and Johnson, the US Ambassador, and a member from the UNC Burn Center’s Board.
UNC continues to provide great work and care to patients in Malawi as part of the Malawi Surgical Initiative.
